We are delighted to invite you to the 9th International Scientific Conference A.L.I.C.E., organized by the Faculty of Design in Slovenia, in collaboration with EMUNI University, and scheduled for April 2027.

The 2027 edition explores the theme Beyond Design.

In a time shaped by technological, environmental, cultural and social transformation, design is challenged to move beyond established boundaries, disciplines and assumptions. What Comes After opens a space for reflection on what lies beyond familiar systems, models and ways of thinking.

A.L.I.C.E. 2027 brings together perspectives from design, culture, education, technology, business and society, creating a platform for dialogue, research, creative practice and future collaboration. The conference welcomes interdisciplinary contributions that explore the evolving role of design in a rapidly changing world and encourage exchange between research, education, innovation, professional practice and society.

Conference

A.L.I.C.E. 2027 is a two-day hybrid conference combining scientific exchange, creative practice and public dialogue.

The conference welcomes:

• papers, posters and project presentations;
• keynote lectures and invited talks;
• panel discussions, round tables and workshops;
• student, faculty and partner participation;
• online and in-person contributions.

Programme

Day One
Conference opening, keynote lectures, presentations, discussions, networking and the A.L.I.C.E. Evening Gathering.

Day Two
Presentations, workshops, collaborative exchange, closing reflections and future collaborations.
